The Botanists is a high concept band — one involving me, and sometimes Casper, plus a range of musical instruments that I'm trying to learn how to play, mainly by guesswork. Some of these instruments were bought from flea markets or online auctions. One, however, was bought in a real shop.

Not willing to be discouraged by a lack of drums (science and the 1980’s solved that particular puzzle for us) or only a vague recollection of musical theory from pre-teen piano lessons, my only ambition is to blunder on hopefully.
